Introduction
Bringing a complex project to completion is one of the most rewarding experiences in an engineering journey. This unit is designed for students who are ready to take their work from concept to conclusion, building on the progress made in Computer Technology Project 1. In this unit, you’ll continue developing either a practical product or conducting research in a specialized area of Computer Engineering or technology, under the guidance of an academic supervisor. You’ll refine your engineering processes, deepen your design and implementation skills, and rigorously test your solutions. An essential focus of this unit is communicating your work clearly and professionally through a written thesis, showcasing both your technical achievements and your ability to analyze and reflect on your project outcomes. The unit is structured to help you grow as an independent engineer and researcher, while ensuring you have the support you need. Teaching staff will provide guidance, feedback, and assistance to help you overcome challenges and stay on track. Whether you’re aiming to bring an innovative product to life or contribute new insights through research, this unit will give you the practical experience and communication skills crucial for success in your professional career.
