Introduction
This unit will cover various digital transmission and interface technologies and standards including analogue signal conditioning such as amplification, filtering, level shifting, ADC and DAC. The laboratory will involve the construction and programming of several industry standard interfaces on embedded systems and examination of the effects of transission lines on signals. This unit should teach you to analyse and impliment a variety of interfaces and has two main areas of study:- Transmission lines
- Interface standards

Assessment Breakdown
Recent Unit Changes & Response to Student Feedback
Students are encouraged to provide feedback through student surveys (such as Insight and the annual Student Experience Survey) and interactions with teaching staff. Listed below are some recent changes to the unit as a result of student feedback. Tutotial questions and assignment are revised. Unit Coordinator and lecturer changed.
